He almost had as much reason to be up here as anyone else. Had he just kept himself in his room locked up forever, that would have been fine. But since a certain someone returned, he felt he should look as if he was doing something important. But who was he to lie to her, to lie to anyone, when she and the others had been truthful for the most part. Yet here he stood, reflecting on his past, wondering if there would ever be a moment in time he could return to normal.

Xemnas had a reputation to keep, one of power, one of grace, one of superiority, hence, his title The Superior. It was up to him to keep everyone in line, like a general or commander in the military, to make sure everything was as perfect as perfect could be. What more could he do? Maybe send this one on a mission, make himself look important. It would be like him, to ruin a perfectly good moment in this Nobody's life. Cerix, wasn't it? Ah yes, he remembered who he was. Perhaps it would be in his best interest to keep going, to act as if nothing was there. However, Xena would have stopped to say hello. Pushing aside his pride, his power and his ego, Xemnas walked up and muttered
Hi. What brings you up here? He edited much of what he would have said on any other day. He knew his lover would have shot him for being rude, especially now.

Xemnas almost regretted asking this Nobody anything, almost regretted stopping. Sighing to himself, he looked to the Nobody and smiled his cynical smile. I'm here because...because it's time for me to come out and be who I am. She... his breath disappeared as her name became almost impossible to say. She has returned and all is well. That was really all he could say, pausing as he wondered what more there could be up here in the Scraper.

He smiled to himself as Cerix rambled on and the words hung in the air. Only I can reveal your real personalities and traits from before. But really, no one's changed since becoming a Nobody, if anything. Xena's the only one who's changed, but only by the sharing of her animal's heart and life. He silenced himself, wondering if really, he had said too much.

He knew he should have kept his mouth shut about everything. But for a moment, it was easy to say that Xemnas felt human in some respect. He let the kid ramble on, for some background noise was helpful. I knew it was a mistake to come up here. You know you're right. It wouldn't work on you. You're not ready for it it. As if anyone was. Not even Xena would be able to handle a situation should she have changed. But everyone was different, and that is the way that everything should be.

Cerix mentioned meeting Xena, a really positive sign to The Superior. She really had returned and that was something intense, even for him. He almost let his excitement for her return get the better of him, until he realized that emotions in a Nobody was not a good move. I have yet to see her, he sighed, his voice deep within his throat. With his silver hair covering his copper eyes, Xemnas stared out into Oblivion and reflected upon everything that had happened since he met her. His Lost Lover...

He had to laugh at Cerix's remark of her expressions. If only he could see her while with Xemnas, then he would understand the meaning of expressing emotions. Xena could go either way, melt your heart with a smile, or chill your blood with a glare. She usually kept to herself though, in order to keep out of any kind of trouble that would result in any kind of danger to anyone but herself. It was just the way she was and just the way she would always be.

Xemnas did not even realize how much he had stared out into nothing until a breeze brought him down to her, helping him remember her touch on her arrow when she hunted. Remembering the time when she was hunting and he first met her, he happened to be in the way of her prey...

It was true that Xemnas could control all of Nothing, that was no mistake. But Xena, being who she was, always seemed out of his radar somehow. He wished that he could track her every minute of every second. But alas, she needed some time to catch up and he knew that she would be pestering him for all the news for whatever it was that she missed.

His luck turned when Cerix decided to leave. Sure, the kid was interesting enough but there was a limit to how much time Xemnas wanted to spend with each and every Nobody. Sure Xena was the exception, but he could only take so much. He knew what there was to know about the others that lived here, and he could not risk gaining back any kind of humanity. Or was it already too late? No. He was The Superior. He couldn't just give up like that. No sir. And to begin, Xemnas didn't even say good-bye in return to the departing Nobody. Just as simple as that. I need her...And I need her now, he thought. And tonight would be the night...
