Missing Hearts (Taxse) « Thread Started on Dec 25, 2008, 7:39pm »
The silver pillars stood in the radiant glow of almighty Kingdom Hearts. Then a large humming and alien-like sound disturbed the peace and sanctity of the Alter. A large black and purple flame-like shadow door appeared on the Alter. The flames lashed harmlessly around itself. Then a black cloaked and hooded figure stepped out of the dark. The figure walked into the golden glow of Kingdom Hearts. The cloaked figure then took of his hood. Maxshot's bright orange hair shone brighter than ever in the light. Max calmly walked over to the edge of the Alter. His four spheres of Mercury circled around Maxshot. Max felt where his heart was once and sighed as he looked into the beauty and construction of Kingdom Hearts.

Pretty, ain't it?
Taxse tipped her head to the side to look at the newest nobody to the Organization from her seat upon the wall nearby. She liked to sit up here, where it was quiet. After being with Neux and Xigbar and Mylex all the time, the silence was never taken for granted. She smiled a toothy grin, her long incisors flashing in the light of their infamous moon, you're the newest neophyte, right? Number LI?

Maxshot's moment of peace was suddenly disrupted by the voice of female. Max turned around to face the source of the sound. Max looked at the female nobody with a slightly suprised expression. Maxshot listened to her and walked closer to her. "Yeah... Sometimes it makes you wonder, what it would be like to feel our hearts again..." Maxshot said as he gazed into the beautfiul moon. Max walked over to Taxse. "I'm probably being a freak, for thinking like that. And yes, I'm Maxshot, and you are?" Max asked.

Taxse's expression softened and she lifted a brow, are you kidding me? I think about what it would be like to have a heart all the time. It's only natural to ponder something you no longer have,
she replied, glancing up to the moon before turning back, smirk back in place. She extended a hand, 'name's Taxse, number XIV, powers over darkness. Welcome to the Organization, Max.

Max smiled at Takse. "Nice to meet you Tax!" Maxshot cheerfully said. "Number LI, Powers over Metal." Max responded to the introductions. Max then moved his arm to part of the metal barrier on the edge of the Alter of Naught. A piece of metal plating from the barrier, came off and floated in midair. Then, using his power and mind, Maxshot shifted the plate into a large bunch of silver roses. "For vu." Max said, floating the roses in midair and handing them to Takse. "Just a demonstration." Maxshot said before smiling.

The telepath giggled and took the roses, turning them for a moment, before her eyes flashed to a brilliant white and they floated up out of her hand. She smiled and giggled again, her brillant, glowing eyes unblinking, don't move,
she murmured as mistly shadows began to seep over the wals of the alter and around their feet, wouldn't want you to get lost. Suddenly the darkness was everywhere, swirling in a thick mist that made it impossible to see anything. When the nobody spoke, the words were from all directions, not much I can show you with my power, it's more what you can't see. Another few moments the shadows receeded from the air and slumped to the ground, rolling around on the floor in a lazy manner. Taxse laughed before flicking her wrist and sending them crawling back over the edges of them wall. As the last ones flickered out of sight her eyes faded back to their bright blue sheen, sorry, I'm a show off.

Maxshot turned his head repeatedly, lost in the shadows. But then the mist cleared. "It's ok...So am I." Max said before smirking and concentrating hard. Max grunted slightly as he concentrated. Then the entire metal Alter of Naught and some it's extensions and connections, were lifted up into the air. They alter began to float right up infront of Kingdom Hearts itelf. The massive ammounts of moonlight from the infamous moon, shone on the silver metal and made it appear a bright illuminous gold. Max stepped infront of Kingdom Hearts and reached into the moon. Max took his hand back out and was holding a pink and red heart in his hand. "I know it's not mine or yours but...just feel it...It's what it would feel like when the Superior fufills his promise to us..." Max said handing the heart gently to Taxse.

Taxse yelped slightly as the floor shook and made a horrible creaking noise. Without thinking, the shadows around the side of the round alter top stretched out to anchor her to the floor, and another moment later Maxshot as well. Of course, after another moment she realized she wasn't in danger and the shadows slackened and moved back towards the edges, wow, not bad..
She moved over to the side and leaned over the edge, looking down at the castle that stood regally below them. She turned around as Maxshot spoke and gazed in wonder as she was offered a heart; not the one she was objected to find, but likewise with the same effects, although temporary. She took the sparkling orb carefully and gasped as emotion flooded her, wonder and thrill and anxiety. The suddenly the darker emotions, hate and greed and pain.. Taxse winced, gritting her teeth and jerked away from the object, allowing it to falter in the air before returning to the moon that illuminated the entire area quite easily. The telepath sighed and lowered her hands, sometimes it makes me wonder.. if we are better off without them. The spark in her eyes dwindled to nothing as she stared up at Kingdom Hearts.

"We need our hearts. Without them, we all may aswell be Dusks..." Max said. It was true. There was hardly any point wondering down as half-existant beings with no purpose. They might just be well off not existing. But the point was that all members of the Organization were the 'lucky ones' and the survivors. The ones who had the will and determination to survive and use there powers to fullfill their destiny and become somebodies. "So...How did you become...Like me?" Max asked wondering how she lost her heart.

What does it matter?!
Taxse snapped, her eyes flickering for a moment. She grit her teeth again and growled to herself, before sighing, sorry. Our.. purpose has always been a bit touchy to me.. she muttered, diverting her gaze. It wasn't like she never thought about these things, infact quite the opposite. What else to think about rather than what you are currently.. not living for? Maxshot just sounded too much like a drone, perfect in Xemnas' eyes. One that didn't question what he was told. It didn't make much difference to her anymore. I.. tried to kill my best friend.. she murmured, her voice soft, but, he killed me first.

Maxshot looked at Taxse with a suprised expression. "It's ok." Max replied. Then Max listened to Taxse's story with interest. Max had a bit of sympathy but somehow couldn't help feel that she had brought it on herself."Heartless Attack. I was luckier, I think, than the rest of my family." Max said. "So...Why did you try to kill your friend?" Maxshot asked.

Taxse hmph'd and looked away again, looking down at the dark but glowing city below them. She wasn't sure why she was talking about this with Max. She hardly talked about it to anyone, except Xigbar. When he was drunk, mostly. Strangely, it was one of the only things he seemed to understand and was able to sympathize with. Then again, it wasn't like her story was logged on file that anyone could find if they wanted to. She glanced up when Maxshot began talking again, well, it all comes down to heartless in the end. Bastards.. and I suppose that opinion varies on what you believe.
she replied. The telepath winced at the next question, everytime she was asked that it hurt all over again. Because, she snapped, her voice softened after that though, he.. he abandoned me.
